Futon sofa bed looks exactly as in the photo. It isreasonablycomfortable to sit on, although it may be a tad bit on the hard side to sleep on (haven’t tried it yet though). The color is pretty and it looks sleek and modern in my living room.

Thefeaturefor the price can’t be beat. However, make sure you read the dimensions as it is very low to the ground, even lower when used as a bed. Also, there are no legs to support the bed ends when unfolded so it just drops to the floor- unlike the picture which shows silver legs. It is very hard, not comfortable for everyday sleeping, but it is a goodfeatureproduct that looks like it will last some time. For the ocassional overnight guest–put an air matress on top and it would be great!

My husband and I bought this sofa last year and have been pleased with it so far. I have a chronic back problem that makes sitting in a chair difficult,mainlyat the end of the day. We needed a piece of furniture that could extend into a bed on one side (for me) and serve as a chair on the other (for my husband). We had looked at various types of sectional sofas and sofa beds but nothingappositeour needs. We finally found something we liked at a high-end furniture store. It had a design very similar to the Baxter couch, but was made of better materials and it had more features. We would have bought it but its $7,000 price was a bit too steep. I looked on-line and found this sofa at Amazon. It was very similar to the one we had seen. The price was right so we bought it. The sofa does just what we needed it to do. We use it mainly for TV watching. It is versatile in that the chairs can be went into different positions and either chair can be extended into a bed. It is reasonably comfortable for sitting or lying down. It is also light and simple to maneuver. We extend one or both of the chairs to watch TV and then fold them up afterwards. The couch is honestly small so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It is a small flimsy and not very pretty. We weren’t thrilled with the color. However, the red fabric is honestly dark and not too orange (as we feared it might be). Besides the color, the couch has two drawbacks. One is the lack of support under the foot end when the couch is used as a bed. When a chair is extended the foot end flops onto the floor. We solved this problem by propping up the feet with the sofa cushions. When the cushions are placed under the foot ends, the beds are more-or-less horizontal. The second drawback is the hard metal bars in the middle of the bed (when the chair is extended). You can avoid them once you know where they are.Sinceof the hard spots, I wouldn’t want to sleep on this sofa. Overall, it’s a reasonable couch with a very useful design. I would recommend it as a couch but not as a bed.

This sofa is my first bummer from Amazon. Poorly constructed, not as described, very hard surfaces and the under pinnings and leg supports were so terribly made that I found it necessary to re-build them. Made from scrap lumber held together with staples.

The sofa does work properly insofar as converting to a bed or lounge, the hardware works and seems adequate. The microfiber covering ispassableand properly fitted. But the implied foam is just not there. Hard as a rock.

I took the time to re-build the support structuresincethe unit meets my size and function requirements for use in a motor home. But I would not recommend it to anyone.

The sofa looks better then the picture, very simple to place together, light weight! It’s fantastic to use it as a sofa, however, don’t plot on using it as a bed, the frame under the cushion is very noticeable in the middle.

This futon is sturdy,Fairly simple to place together.I got this set for a small under $300.I’ve searched Amazon.com for a futon and mattress set and I got prices from $500 to nearly $1,000.The mattress is really thick and super comfy!I got a really excellent deal!I recommend buying from this seller.The shipping and delivery is quick unlike some other sellers.

We got this as an “in a pinch” guest bed. However, we place thishostile tothe railing in our loft HUGE bedroom and it has become the bed for when one of us wants to toss and turn. It was simple to place together, many parts, just follow the steps, and it is solidly constructed. Both upright and flat out it does not rock when you get on or off it. I was really a small surprised that it didn’t rock at all climbing on or off it. We got the 8″ mattress and that was a very excellent thing (tip: look for a cover that specifies for the thicker mattress). I had a harder time wrestling the mattress out of it’s box and wraping and getting it into the cover than my husband did building the frame. We are really loving this futon. It’s even wide enough to sleep on without putting out flat which is really convenient when one of us decides to go over to it in the middle of thenighttimeand doesn’t want to wake the other. Being no longer a college kid, I don’t reckon I would want this to be my ONLY bed or ONLY couch, but it sure makes a excellent extra in a kid’s room for friends, in an extra room for guests, or for those nights you toss and turn but don’t want to go sleep on the living room furniture (as this cover is removable and washable). We really are pleased with it and also with the seller who shipped everything quickly, at the same time, and well-packed.

I like this futon! I did notpeacefulnessa mattress with it but rather got the frame and mattress separately. But this frame is solid! I have had it forin this areafour months now and it has not sagged or bent or squeaked this whole time. It also looks really good. I got a pretty cheep mattress off this site from another seller (premier futon mattress #B0006Z3UR4) to go with it and the metal does not poke through and I don’t feel the frame. I reckon it’ssinceit supports the mattress so well that even a cheap mattress can seem like an expensive one. It also folds out very nicely and easily fits two people. It does not sag in the middle and you can barely feel the center bar, although part of that will depend on the mattress too.

Basically I would recommend this futon,mainlysince it is so cheap! And I had no distress with shipping. It tookin this areaten days to get here and that is what they estimated so I’m not sure what the distress was with the other costumer’s problem. I mean I’ve never had issues with Amazon’s shipping. Usually it gets therebeforethan expected.

This isreasonablypossibly the worse futon i have ever purchased. If you would like thefeatureof a $50 futon from Walmart, then, by all means, buy this dreadful futon. It is all metal and hollow metal at that. Once you lay the futon out, you can not pull the futon back up without having a whole team of people. After purchasing this horrible futon from amazon.com, we QUICKLY returned it immediately. Worse product ever!
